For example, a company have multiple branches in USA,

Rent a cloud server. Install the application software on the server, then customer at any location, if they have a windows pc/laptop, they can log in the cloud server, do the management. It's a remote windows desktop on the cloud server.

The cloud server is totally owned by customer, data is private and safe.

For the cloud server, it is one remote cloud windows computer, Microsoft, google, amazon all can provide that. Here in our country, cloud server price is about 85$ first year,very cheap, I can help you to buy that cloud server.

Method 2:

refer to the below.There is no cloud server,so it's free, but need to set port forwarding on the router.

For remote connection

Firstly, your controller board connect to the router, the router should have internet access. And the router need to have static IP address or public domain name for it( for example , can use DDNS as domain name ).

In the router setting, do port forwarding,  normally forward port 60000 to below:

- local LAN IP is the local controller IP address

- port is also 60000

(For the router port  forwarding setting, you can google, there is a lot tips for how to do that setting.)

Then, in the software, you can add or Edit existing controller:

- SN: the controller SN number ( there is label on the controller )

- Select Medium, large Network, Internet

- IP  here is the router internet IP address, when the router have internet access, it has one public IP address allocated.
